Welcome to the Groove Race Team Nigel Hopkinson!!!
We are proud to announce that we have added British Champion, 26-34 Expert,
Nigel Hopkinson to the Groove Merchants/Fly Racing Team. Nigel will be heading up duties running the Groove summer clinic
tour coming to a BMX track near you. He will also be kicking some ass on the national circuit. You can read more about him
on the BMX team page. Welcome to the team Nigel were stoked to have you!!

If you were'nt there you missed out...
The ComeUp BMX Premier went off Saturday night to a packed house. If you were'nt
there you missed out on one of the best vids of the year. We still have a few DVDs in stock if you havnt grabbed one

Its 65 degrees Suckas!!!
Yep Im toasty warm in So Cal while you guys are freezing your balls off. Sorry
to rub it in. Anyway Im heading to the ASR tradeshow to get some work done.
Three more days to the ComeUP Premier.
Well be throwing out food before it starts so get there early to get a seat and pickup a copy of the DVD. Were sellin them
for $14.99. Make sure you get one early because numbers are very very limited.

New showtime added for The ComeUp Premier. Sat. Jan 26th 7 and 9pm
Were about a week away from The ComeUp BMX DVD Premier at the shop. Due
to the overwhelming response we have added a 9pm showing. So dont stress it if you cant make the first 7pm show.
We restocked on Kink Launchs and Whip completes as well receiving the new Duo Rogue Status Pivitol Seats, Hombre brakes in
colors, KMC Halflink Chains and more Kink Linear Cables.
Il be in Southern California next week but it will
be business as usual at the shop and Il be back in time for the premier.

Groove Merchants Team Update...
The Groove race team was in Lexington Virginia this past weekend at the NBL
Blue Ridge National and kicked ass as usual. All team members made their mains on Saturday with both of the Morgans winning
theirs. I took a forth and Ryan went out with a crash in the second turn.
Expect to see Depre riding his
new Haro Convert frame as early as this weekend. Ken Hensell is still changing diapers but is planning to be back riding by
spring, so were told.
The Fit Team Trails complete should be in by this weekend and the rest of the '08
line will be here by the second week in Feb. We should be getting more S&M LTF frames in soon along with the new Fit Eddie
frame (4.8lbs). Checkout the new Camo S&M Redneck stem now in stock!!
Theres a new website on
the rise www.marylandbmx.com. It should help everybody network a little better. UNITY bitchs. Check it out or continue to be lame.

Happy New Year...
Alot of people use New Year as a time of reflection or a turning point to
make changes for themselves. The past year at the Groove was an exciting and busy one. We moved into a new storefront,
made new friends, had more contests, sponsored new riders and continued to travel the country, all in the name of doing
and supporting what we love and beleive in.
Bmx and Skating will continue to grow this year and with that
your scene will evolve and change. As you take a minute and reflect on last year keep in mind that your scene is just that
YOUR scene. You completley control every aspect of it. Dont let the media, outside people or others dictate what it should
be. Always remember its not about competition or trends. Its about creating a community of friends and a lifestyle where
you can personally progress at your own pace and have fun.
So grab the new year by the balls, get your
friends, go ride a new spot, meet new people, or learn a new trick. And, Oh Yeah, have fun in '08!!!
